About Me
Hello, I am Tawanna Hines and here is a little background information on me. I was born June 17, 1990 in Atlanta, GA which also happened to be my parents' anniversary and father's day of that year. From a very young age, I enjoyed dancing such as ballet and tap. I was also involved in gymnastics and I really enjoyed doing all three. Later on in life, I began to get more in touch with myself and expolred the realms of my ability. I started to play the violin and throughout my career I was fortunate enough to earn the titile concert mistress and be chosen as a member of The Fulton County Honors Orchestra. I also excelled in the world of academia. My mother always told me she expected nothing less and nothing less is what I gave her. I was deemed the student with the highest average in my junior years and graduated in the top 10 percent of my high school class. Extracurricaular activities were no stranger to my life either. I am an active member of The Naional Society of Black Engineers, The American Chemical Society, and The National Beta Club just to name a few. The rest are located on my resume in a fllowing blog. With much hard work, perseverance, and determination, I was able to achieve all of this but it did not stop there. I was awarded the Cooperative Developmental Energy Program Scholarship for Chemistry/Chemical Engineering which is a full scholarship in a dual-degree prpgram at The Fort Valley State University and one of 5 corresponding schools. And this is where I am now, a 19 year old Chemistry Major with a current 4.0 gpa at The Fort Valley Sate University. In this blog is everything you need to know about me and I hope you enjoy. I will leave you with a quote that I like to live by: "True character is doing good deeds when no one is looking."
